Namur is a small city in Wallonia in Southern Belgium. Its a quaint little city that is swarm with tourist. Although, there wasn't many tourist on the day we went there. For nothing is open on Sunday in Belgium... NOTHING... not even cafes!

In the end of the day, we went to the closest town/city and had our lunch. At least we came home with a full stomach, and I fell asleep on the way home. =)

On my first weekend in Brussels, my dad decided we go on a road trip to Lille, which is at the border of France. The interesting thing about being in Europe, you can travel to neighbouring country without a passport. As long its part of the European Union (EU).

We found stalls that are selling vintage stuffs, including vinyl records, posters, books and trinkets!

The trip to Brussels from Brunei is not really a pleasant ride, unless you're on the Business Class. Luckily, my flight wasn't packed with kids and giving the lack of space. The flight was approximately 13 hours, and by that... it didn't sound so great.

As part of my course, we presented our customized system at the Monash IT Expo. Various of companies come to Monash Univeristy IE Project and hire students like us to create/build a system they want. For my group, our client was a vet and we had to create an informational website with various functions.

It has been a great experience for me and have learnt the various aspects around IT. It has been a pleasure being a student at Monash University. =)

A month after our mini trip to Perth, It's Melb-Perth all over again. The Perth gang is in Melbourne.... AGAIN!! Too bad only 2 out of 3 made it. Nevertheless, he is missed and we still had fun! As we hang out with each other, we have grown close and i adore the friendship that has develop over the months.

It was a nice long weekend, so two friends and myself went to visit our dearest friends in Perth. It was a lovely place, much different from Melbourne. Its much more relax and the weather was very inviting! Not like Melbourne, all gloomy and cold.

I managed to visit the Pompeii exhibition, which i missed when it was in Melbourne!

For mother's day.... a bunch of us decided to join the Mother's Day Classic Fun walk/run... So created a team called BruCrew... hahaha... but it was for fun and charity to breast cancer~ For a Brunei team, we decided to get matching yellow (really bright for the guys) jerseys!

Participants has an option to do the 4KM or the 8KM... either walk or run. The boys did the 8KM run while the girls did the 4KM walk (although we did jog through it too! ;P). It was a good healthy fun!

Summer is almost over, and here I am back in Melbourne. A month early before uni starts. Why? Coz i need to find a new apartment. Oh well, today i manage to catch up with 2 of my friends, and we tried out the new cafe called OLD TOWN Kopitiam Mamak. A upper version of the kopitiam you see in Malaysia perhaps, not sure.

Awesome mid-year activity just before we started our second semester. Decided to go to Mt Buller and snowboard! Only 2 (M & T) out of 8 knows how to get on a snowboard. But it was still awesome having a 2hour lesson, made me understand how your body suppose to move in order to make your board move left or right... XD

After 5 hours of fun up in the mountains, we all fell asleep on the way back to the city.

For mothers day, a bunch of my friends and I went for the Mothers Day Classic run/walk.. Mothers Classic Run/Walk is for breast cancer research. Seems like there are many supporters and it was a huge turn out in Melbourne, this year they attracted about 80,000 people nationally... It was awesome! I wouldn't mind doing it again this year, there was an option of the 4km walk/run or the 8km walk/run.

It's 2.45pm now... sitting outside of B Building in Caufield Campus is not the smartest thing to do at this weather... i swear i think it's like 9 degrees... luckily the sun is out, so didn't feel THAT cold... but i bet it's as cold as it is the last few nights... Breathing out smoke and inhaling ice cold air! That makes me wonder, how are we going to pull the weekly Saturday run at this weather? i think it should be okay if we pushed the time when the sun is high up!! hahaha... anyways... bored right now.. can't be bothered to read anymore lecture notes or doing assignment I am suppose to already start on... For us in Melbourne, its easter break (not really a break from studying) but a nice break from attending classes... for me? just staying in melbourne, doing abit of the assignments are are due soon and catching up with friends.

Today (Saturday), started the day with a jog and a soccer game with fellow Bruneian friends. It would be nice to see other friends too.. the more the merrier! Overall today's activity was F.U.N!!! Next week it's jog and basketball at Carlton Gardens... hope we could see some new faces...

The family and a couple of friends celebrated MsShooter's birthday with a Steamboat and Tepanyaki dinner at home. Afterwards, we decided to take some shots out somewhere. Our first choice was actually the Jerudong Park Gardens, but since it was Monday... it was closed early... Bummer (>.<)... so we ended up at the fountain in the middle of the Yayasan complex in Bandar. It was a great choice, lots of good light for our stage ;P

Seems like everyone is leaving soon. My sister and younger brother are leaving next week, and I won't be leaving until about a month later from the 10th. Sorry guys... it's been quite a long while since i updated my blog... will add in some pics of pre-BruONz... didn't manage to take pic of the official event. Was too busy... hahaha... but i must say it was a success! Found out the many have enjoyed it, and seems to be out on almost all newspaper and popular blogs in Brunei... I am glad many enjoyed. For new years celebration, we decided to have a BBQ at home with few special suprises... which includes water balloon fights and fireworks. It was fun and unfortunately my dad wasn't around to join the fun. He was in Jakarta with his friends to play "golop"... hahaha

Last weekend we went on a family trip to Belalong in the Temburong district, an untouched rainforest of Borneo. Along, we invited a couple of our friends and cousins. I must say it was one of the best summer I have ever had in a long time~! I get to enjoy it with friends and family at the same time.

Before leaving for Brunei (i am currently in Brunei already)... I own Ms N a day to hangout with her, and apparently, Mr Korean was suppose to meet her the day before.. so I told him to just hangout with us on the same day! I spent 2 days with Ms N, with Mr Korean tagging along... On our second day together (third w Mr Korean), we went to St Kilda beach to get my mom her new fave cake from Monarch Cake Shop... Afterwards, we hung at the pier on the beach and took photos~!

It was getting fun... hanging out with an old friend and a new friend.. from there we created this unusual bond where it was obvious we were going to miss the times we have shared together in these short times...

Sunday 16th November, 9 of us decided to play paintball for the first time.. well most of us were newbies.. about 2-3 of them played it before... Let me say... It was awesome! No regrets and it's a heck lot of exercise and a safe way to shoot someone without getting jailed for.. Haha... It was a blast, I think we are planning on having another game this March '09... Hopefully...

New DFO Outlet...

The day we decided to check out the new Factory Outlet in Docklands, right next to the ferris wheel... I heard about it in the radio, while i had my shower. Yes, i had radio/music on while i shower. I sang if i know the song, and i dooo believe i sound nice :P hahaha kidding! But yea, i do sing in the shower... Who doesn't nowadays?

After walking around, from shade to shade, store to store... we were getting hungry, decided to get something to eat. Guess what we found?? Nandos! There are several halal restaurant: Cilipadi and Kebab something... hahaha.... not the KFC though :(

We were playing around in each store... trying out shoes at the Shoe Gallery, Tiara at the Toy Store... It was a nice day at Dockland, we had snack at the San Churro right in front of the ferris wheel.

The ferris wheel in Docklands... opening soon, I think end of November during the official opening of DFO outlet...

Done with walking around, we decided to head back to the city... Coming back to ride the Ferris Wheel...

Northland Mall, went out for lunch with a bunch of friends... Here I post up the 'Melbourne' art of how to eat! Hehehe...

1. Wait patiently for your food to arrive..

2. Look and appreciate your chosen dish.. Presentation of the food matters... makes it look yummy or not.. It does make a different!

3. Savour the smell of your food... that way you have a jist of what is to be tasted.

4. Take a spoon full or fork full, twist it around your cutlery...

5. Put the portion into your mouth and slurp it in like how the japanese do when eating their udon/ramen dish

When you finish, don't forget to wipe any excess food that may have gotten on the edges of your mouth or anywhere else it might get to, depends how hard you slurped... :p Enjoy your meal! Try eating this way, maybe someone might find you appealing *wink wink*.. :p

Last Day of Open Houses

Sat 18th Oct - It was the last day for an open house for many of us in Melbourne... I quote "in Melbourne", why? coz most of us have to hit the books and study for exams... A couple of my friends are starting theirs on this Friday... Good Luck Peeps! So I won't be posting much till after the exams... my last is on the 10th November.. Then I will be back in Brunei sometime soon..... wooohoooo~!

Anyways... this Saturday 18th October, we went to two of our friend's open house. Ms Giggle's and Ms GD's... It was not my first time going to her house. It's a lovely apartment in Smith Street, smack next to the strip of sports outlets. Note! I should bring my parents there... ha-ha... it's hard to think where to bring friends who are visiting...

That same afternoon after Ms Giggle's house, we went to another friends house on St Kilda Road, Ms GD... I thought we would be the last to arrive, but noooo.... We were pretty much the second... Mr BoxHill was there first..

About an hour or so... Ms Cheekies and the rest came... Place grew loud and started playing old games such as Congkak! I don't remember how to play that game anymore... haha only know that you use marbles... Overall the day was fun!

Day in Bundoora

We started the day at LaTrobe University in Bundoora to Indonesia Week. It was the final day and they were having a speech competition. I enjoyed listening to local Australians talking in Bahasa Melayu. Too bad not many people came. During the break while the judges decide on who was the winner, Ms Sash entertained us with a song "Dia" by Sheila Majid (malaysian) or by Danar or Vina Panduwinata (indonesian).

On our way back to Mr RockBand's place, we decided to take photo with La Trobe's very own weird statue.

Once we got back to Mr RockBand's house, the rest of the Indonesian friends came and hung out with us. As usual, we played our latest entertainment: Rock Band and Buzzer!

Buzzer was tricky, yet always fun to play. I recommend it as a group game. Very entertaining for the whole family! I am thinking of getting one for my PS2...

A Break from the festive...

Decided to have a day off from all the assignements and hari raya-ing.. We woke up late, had a late lunch at a nearby cafe... my sister and I decided to treat ourselves by doing a little shopping.

I ended up getting 2 shoes at a bargain of $20 (for 2 shoes!) and lovely necklace, while my sister got 3 shirts and accessories.

After awhile, we stopped at Max Brenner to have hot choco, before we went to Laguna to buy some household supplies... There we had cups of chocolaty drinks, those with sweet tooths would love it there...

Unfortunately, at the end of the day... we had to face what lies ahead of us... assignments & exams!!!!!
