Almost Over

Stressin....

That time of our semester, been busy with assignments... sleepless nights, lack of food.. in need of a vacation.... But won't be getting one till after the exams which is in early June!

It never occur to me that taking IT degree includes spending majority of your day looking at the pc monitor. I think, especially during these time, with all the sleepless nights.. I could feel my eyes turning to FRIED EGGS by the end of the day... '-.-

How you guys coping up? maybe as stress as I am when all the crazy Monash lecturers decide to put their assignment deadline on Friday yesterday. Man, was that a relief or not just to hand in that bloody programming assignment! Now I just have one more to go... Anyone up to write a project report for me?? Hehe...

Tech: Simplicity Sells [David Porgue]

Something we learned in System Analysis class, POD showed us how much user interface is important to users, especially clients. It DOES matter! Here, a video clip by David Porgue talking about what is a bad interface and what is a good interface.
Check it out:

Something everyone in business should know. You MUST watch this clip, it really shows you how it does effect users. I especially like it because he compares between Apple MAC and Microsoft... After watching this clip, I thought about it and said "It's soooo true!" and start laughing by myself. It's also entertaining!

Our lecturer has this habit of showing us interesting clips related to our studies "System Analysis & Design". Telling us how much it actually matters in business/reality!

The KFC Weekend

Well...  I guess many of us was craving for something finger lickin' good...  So we all woke up early and met up at about half past ten in the morning!! KFC in the morning!! No worries... SO, we decided to go on a 30-40mins train ride away... JUST TO EAT KFC!!! since that's the only halal one we know...

Funny, once we arrive there we could eat anything except the NUGGETS! what was that all about?? I talked to Mr DG about it, he said that it might have to do to the fact that nuggets are processed chicken, and that they might not come from the same company where they get their supply of the pieces of chicken.... hmm, that could be the reason... you reckon?

We ordered almost the whole list in the menu besides the NUGGETS! Omg! the table was pack! Never have I ever been in a chicken paradise!!
That was a stress reliever... next Sunday, after days of cramming our heads with assignments and labs we might hit the Japanese festivals in BoxHill with MsGamer. This should be interesting!

Playing in PhotoShop

Bored last night so I decided to play around with Photoshop... so there i was bored at 8pm... surfed on the internet and found a nice website that shows you easy steps to do Photo Effects with photoshop... PhotoShopEssentials So I decided to do a "pop-out" picture.. It was pretty much easy steps, only that I can't remember how to do it once I want to do it on another picture... haha... if only i could trace around me better with my finger! haha... This one's a first try!

Hailing the bus in the dark~

The plan was to leave University at 2pm.. Fortunately, MsCrocs and MsShooter was on campus already, just had to wait for MsGamer. I was there since 10am doing some school work... got some things done! Phew!

So... while waiting for MsGamer to arrive, we went to the nearest supermarket to get MsV a bottle of PURE olive oil.. We met up at the bus stop at around 2:15pm. In about 5 mins, the #624 bus arrived and quickly hop on... since the #900 does not bring us to MsV's house, well i was kinda confident that it would take us to our destination... There we were chatting up and laughing up, but guess what?? It wasn't the right bus!! Bloody Hell! it took us way pass MsV's house... So we had to hop off on Chadstone Mall and catch the correct bus... we ended up arriving at V's house almost around 3!

We stayed over for couple of hours having a laugh! When it started to get dark, so we decided to catch the bus at around 530pm... we left with bidding MsV farewell and waited for the bus... There we were freezing our knickers off about 20mins [i think], until we saw the bus... We started waving... "WOOSSSSHHH"
"What the heck??" - not that we missed the bus, the BUS MISSED us! Waiting for another half hour was not an option, so we decided to walk to the nearest train station which was about 5-6 blocks away...

Today, we had a girls' lunch at dearest V's house. It was lovely, nice veggie pasta seasoned with tuna, pepper, garlic and cheddar cheese... Along with this delicious meat wrap... Hhmmm! yummy~! After lunch, we had a fun photo shooting... haha... I've posted some pics below including V's special dishes... By the time we left for home, it was getting dark already... and it was only 5:30pm!
Waiting 4 the bus...

Smile for the camera..

More smiles...

Something I Found...

Reminds me of D.G.

Somehow true... about IT

Bad Apple

Imagine coming across an apple like this? You're gonna loose not only your tongue, but probably your mouth! Yikes!

Marie Digby

Marie Digby is an american singer-songwriter, guitarist and pianist.I found out about her while i was surfing on youtube, daughter of japanese mother and an irish-american father, she has been singing for sometime, and already released an album. I came across of her version singing "Torn" originally by Natalie Imbruglia, and I must say... she has talent to sing and play [in some of her video she played her guitar]. So i decided to google about her, and i found out that she has abit of exposure in the US. She was best known for her acoustic version of Rihanna's Umbrella song...

Click it and hear it, wouldn't you agree with me? ;)

Got Talent

Ngian showed me this clip of Britain Got Talent of Michael Jackson talent guy. Maybe some of your seen it, but i just saw it. It was something I did not expect it, but i was good! Something i want to share... haha :p and this adorable girl, Connie who is only 6 years old! she sang so good! i almost cried [jst an expression] Enjoy!

A Weekend OFF!

My aim was to get a nice decent blanket for me to sleep in for the winter... but Noooo.... since the price was over the amount that I expected, I ended up buying other things... [the devil in me told me so]. The place is HUGE! not as big as the DFO Airport, but bigger than the one on Spencer Street.. I cannot believe we walked around more than 3 times...! But the Sunday we spent it at Victoria Market, walking around looking at all the so called "bargain" things..

Arrived @ Vic Market

It's Not Raining Men

Waiting 4 Spanish Donuts

When i grow up, i wanna be...

a Clown (despite that he hates clown), a Pink Policeman (hmm... pink?), a Fireman.. (eh salah! fireGirl), a Viking & the GUY who pops out from the b'day cake

Iron Man Rocks~!

It is one of Downey's best performance! The movie was exciting! The film was fast, funny and exhilarating, I didn't notice the 2 hours gone by. Last thing I noticed, the credits were already rolling!

For those who doesn't know what Iron Man is about:
"Based on the Marvel comics superhero, this exciting feature film tells the story of Tony Stark, a billionaire industrialist and inventor who is kidnapped overseas and forced to build a devastating weapon. When Tony Stark is forced to create a life support suit to keep him alive after an accident he decides to use the technology in his suit to fight crime."

Lately, there aren't many good movies playing at the cinema. I looked up the reviews for recent films like Prom Night, SuperHeroes, Deception, Untraceable... The reviews are not so great, but I'm not sure if some of them are that bad cause I haven't seen them myself to agree with them.

However, I am looking forward to up-coming movies Indiana Jones & the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Chronicles of Narnia: The Caspian Prince, Sex & The City: The Movie... I wouldn't want to miss Indy out for sure! I remember watching the old film of Indy, I loved it! I hope it's as good as the old one! Did you know they Harrison Ford was the 2nd choice for the cast of Indy? 1st choice was... I can't recall his name, will back to you about that one.... hopefully! ;)
